Description

The electronic thermostat PTM-2000 is an eight-channel temperature monitoring and four-channel control device.

PTM-2000 controller is used as a part of various electric heating systems. It ensures optimal temperature maintenance for each of four independent control channels.

Algorithms used for heating control together with a set of sensors required for each specific system ensure optimal heat tracing control solving the customer’s heating problem and saving energy ensuring in such a way high efficiency of electric cable heating systems operation.

The controller provides temperature measurement by sensors of temperature, processing signals received form precipitation and water sensors, it enables easy integration into computerized process control systems via data transmission interface RS485. Heating control is effected by means of output relay channels, all operating parameters and conditions of the controlled heating systems are displayed. The controller is mounted on DIN rail 35 mm in control cabinet.

Control algorithms

The controller provides 5 control algorithms. Screen menu selection of the required algorithm is ensured. The output relay functions and sensors connection diagram are specific for each control algorithm.

The available algorithms are as follows:

  1. TUBE – 4-channel two-position control.
  2. TUBE+ – 4-channel proportional control.
  3. ROOF/ROAD (DE-ICING) – 4-channel control of roof and open area de-icing systems.
  4. TIMER – control of 4 independent channels by variation of power application time within a specified period.
  5. MEASURER – 8-channel temperature measurement and indication.

* The temperature sensor is not included in the delivery kit, it should be ordered separately. The sensor’s parameters are provided in its Technical Certificate. Power connection of the controller, connection of temperature sensors and load outputs are to be made using screw terminals installed on the device’s board. All terminals ensure connection of conductors having cross-section up to 2,5 mm2.
